Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell was pleased to announce today that three injured players have recovered well enough to be on the practice field for the start of training camp.

Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and coach Kevin O’Connell kicked off training camp on Tuesday, heading into a pivotal stage of their plan for the team after an offseason when both men were rewarded with new multiyear contracts.

J.J. McCarthy is set to make his first regular-season appearance with the Minnesota Vikings after missing his entire rookie season due to an injury. The Vikings' quarterback coach, Josh McCown, always had some task for McCarthy to keep him close to the gridiron.
