Protests over President Trump's immigration enforcement raids and his mobilization of the Marines and National Guard in Los Angeles have spread to other major U.S. cities.

Democratic governors, aside from Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), are being challenged by President Donald Trump and immigration politics, as protests across the nation crop up. The blue-state governors, many of whom are possible 2028 presidential contenders,

The city acknowledged that the change could make it more difficult for some families to visit detained loved ones.

Some vehicles thought be those of agents were spray-painted with expletives, as were some exterior walls of the Whittier hotel.

Trump deployed 4,000 National Guardsmen and 700 Marines to LA against the wishes of Newsom and Bass. Newsom sued the Trump administration, saying they unlawfully "trampled over" California’s sovereignty when they federalized the California National Guard.

The one-mile-radius curfew covers a portion of downtown Los Angeles. Parts of Chinatown, Little Tokyo, the Fashion District, and the Arts District are within or near the curfew's boundaries. You can see the curfew's parameters in full, below:
