Joey Logano didn’t hold back after a controversial caution wrecked his All-Star hopes. His message for NASCAR brass was blunt — and pointed.

A “Promoter’s Caution” flag thrown by Marcus Smith, the president and CEO of Speedway Motorsports, upset Logano, who was leading at the time.

Christopher Bell passed Joey Logano with nine laps remaining Sunday at North Wilkesboro Speedway to win the 2025 NASCAR All-Star Race.

Logano, who was trying to win his second consecutive All-Star Race at the 0.625-mile oval, came up 0.829 seconds short of Bell after he elected to stay on track to keep the lead under the “Promoter’s Caution” on Lap 216.

Joey Logano had reasons to be irked in multiples in Sunday night’s NASCAR All-Star Race, from a pit-strategy call that didn’t quite pan out, an arbitrary late-race caution flag and a decisive, bruising pass from eventual winner Christopher Bell.

Joey Logano had a dominant car in the 2024 All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro, leading a record 199 of 200 laps and he cruised to victory. On Sunday, the No. 22 car was dominant once again and was leading late when the Promoter’s Caution came out on Lap 216.
