Justin Herbert has taken a beating from the media all offseason. The Los Angeles Chargers haven't been able to win a playoff game since Herbert arrived, going 0-2. While he's still regarded as a top 10 quarterback in the league, Herbert's been routinely receiving subtle insults from pretty much everybody.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is testing out tinted contact lenses as training camp opens. He wore them Thursday under sunny skies after trying them out earlier in the week while working with the team’s rookies.

Justin Herbert is adopting new equipment this season in an effort to see the field better. Per ESPN's Kris Rhim, the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback will wear UV protection contact lenses to reduce the impact of the sun on his vision.
