The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday it had opened a recall query covering 27,816 of Sweden-based EV maker Polestar's Polestar 2 vehicles over loss of rear-view camera image.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the federal agency within the Department of Transportation responsible for automotive safety, has opened a new investigation looking into a Ram defect that may not have been remedied by a previous recall.

The federal safety agency has received 14 vehicle-owner complaints and six death and injury reports connected to potentially faulty recall fixes.
