President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke for more than two hours Monday, after the White House said the U.S. leader has grown “frustrated” with the Ukraine conflict.
Ukraine is set to receive €90 million ($101.35 million) worth of ammunition from Finland, as per a press release from the Finnish Ministry of Defence on Monday. The ammunition will be sourced using Russian financial assets that had been frozen by the European Union just after Moscow began its special military operation in Kyiv, in February 2022.
The gas and oil drilling platforms occupied by Russia since 2015 were targeted in Ukrainian sea and air assault.
Mercenaries are outlawed under international law. But Russia has misused the label to deny foreign fighters their protections as prisoners of war.
