Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is embracing the larger-than-life cinema style of South India with his upcoming Christmas release 'Baby John.'

Varun Dhawan's Baby John continues to struggle at the box office, earning just Rs 35.40 crore in 8 days. Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 and Mufasa draw larger audiences and higher collections.

Varun Dhawan's film is on its way out of theatres after just a week in release; the film has collected only Rs 35 crore so far.

Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' may end up with a lifetime business of Rs 60 crore worldwide while around Rs 40 crore in India. The film has largely underperformed in comparison to the the budget it was mounted on.

The latest update states that Baby John has collected ₹ 28.51 crore in its first five days. Baby John collected ₹ 11.25 crore on its first day of release and saw a sharp day from day two, barely picking up in the subsequent days. The report states that the Varun Dhawan-starrer had 16.76 per cent Hindi Occupancy on its first Sunday.

The poor box office performance of Baby John has led to a significant reduction in the number of shows and a drastic drop in occupancy rates. Due to low business and less demand, the film has been removed from many single-screen theaters, and the number of shows has been substantially reduced all over India.

The New Year began on a good note with already-running movies like Puhspa 2 and Mufasa leading the collections as 2025 kicked off. Allu Arjun starrer dominated the Hindi belts and continued to do so on January 1 (Wednesday) as it became the first choice of moviegoers.
