Following a record breaking instalment of WWE Backlash in 2024, the first Premium Live Event to take place in France, the company has announced that after taking their annual post-WrestleMania PLE international over the past two years, the 2025 edition of Backlash will be returning stateside this coming May.
WWE Backlash Announced For May 10, John Cena To Appear
March 14, 2025 – WWE today announced that Backlash will emanate from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, May 10. The event will feature St. Louis native Randy Orton in addition to WWE Superstar John Cena who will make his first Backlash appearance since 2009 as he continues his year-long farewell tour.

Although general admission tickets aren't on sale yet, the WWE has announced that a presale for tickets will occur on March 19 and 20, with the full sale happening on March 21 on Ticketmaster. For fans wanting to experience Backlash more lavishly, numerous OnLocation packages are on offer.
WWE bringing Backlash 2025 to St. Louis
WWE held its 2024 Backlash at LDLC Arena in France, where it says it had a sellout crowd that set what at the time was the largest gate for a WWE arena show. The LDLC Arena has a listed capacity of 16,000. Enterprise Center can hold around 22,000 for non-hockey events.
