HP has revealed its refreshed lineups for HP laptops, monitors, and desktops, along with new HyperX mice aimed squarely at gamers.

Each time CES rolls around, it's fair to say that big laptop makers like HP don't exactly hold back – this is the perfect opportunity to throw a whole heap of laptops out into the world. It can also be a little challenging to sift through for devices that haven't actually been mentioned before, which is exactly what I've been doing.

HP is sprucing up its Omen gaming brand with new iterations of its flagship Omen 16 laptop—featuring fresh silicon from AMD, Intel, and Nvidia—plus an appealing compact tower, the Omen 16L.

The HP OMEN 16 can come in a range of processors, including AMD Ryzen AI options like the Ryzen AI 9 365, Ryzen AI 7 350, and Ryzen AI 5 340. These processors have built-in support for AI tasks with 50 TOPS (trillions of operations per second). For more demanding work, there's the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX, which has more cores.

HP only has one all-new laptop in its Omen gaming line to show off at CES 2025, but it looks like a doozy because the company claims it’s the most powerful 16-inch notebook it has ever made. The Omen Max 16 looks like HP took a standard Omen 16 (which is retaining the same design but getting refreshed with new components for 2025) and then crammed in as many high-end components as it could.

CES 2025 announcements are rolling in fast and furious this week, and HP joins in the frenzy of new high-end gaming laptops with the HP Omen 16 Max. The name alone hints that this gaming laptop is big on performance.
