At least 11 suspects were arrested after a video emerged on social media of a woman and a man being shot and killed for marrying against the wishes of their families, in a so-called honour killing, authorities said.

A Pakistani woman, Gul Jan Bibi, was remanded to police custody for allegedly taking part in the honour killing of her daughter and a man in Balochistan. The arrest followed a viral video where she justified the act as per Baloch tribal customs.

A Quetta anti-terrorism court on Wednesday extended the physical remand of tribal chief Sardar Sherbaz by 10 more days. He is accused of ordering the brutal killing of a couple in the name of so-called honour.
