Snow, sleet could leave roads icy and dangerous for a couple of days, according to National Weather Service. It would be first snow in Baton Rouge since 2018.

For a few days now the National Weather Service and Baton Rouge-area meteorologists have advised that there's the potential for snow and sleet to fall late Thursday through Friday morning.

The last time Baton Rouge saw snow was on January16, 2018. It's not a common occurrence any year, the National Weather Service said.
