Lawyers for the families who lost loved ones in the crashes of two 737 Max jets said the DOJ intends to drop all criminal charges against Boeing.

The Justice Department may drop its criminal prosecution of Boeing for allegedly misleading U.S. regulators about the 737 Max jetliner before two of the planes crashed and killed 346 people.

The U.S. Department of Justice confirmed it is considering a new deal that would allow Boeing to avoid a criminal fraud conviction stemming from two deadly 737 MAX accidents six years ago.
