Diogo Jota’s family and former Liverpool teammates gathered in Gondomar, Portugal on Saturday for the funeral of the late soccer star and his brother, André Silva. Jota, 28, and his 25-year-old brother – who was also a professional footballer – died in a car crash in Spain early on Thursday morning,

The group of Liverpool players was led by Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson. The former carried a wreath of Jota’s No.20 shirt, while Robertson held the No.30 which belonged to Silva, a midfielder with Portuguese second-tier side Penafiel.

Jota perished in a fiery Lamborghini wreck with his brother Andre Silva, who was also a professional soccer player, along a Spanish roadway. On July 5, the brothers' funeral was held in Portugal and they were surrounded by members of professional soccer.
