EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — Pratt & Whitney is officially laying off a number of staff members, according to a spokesperson for the company.

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — East Hartford-based Pratt & Whitney is cutting some jobs, a company spokesperson said Wednesday. The spokesperson said the company will conduct “a small reduction of salaried positions globally” to “reinvest in high-priority programs and better meet the strong demand for aerospace products.”

Pratt & Whitney's plant fully opened in 2022 and plans to expand again in the coming years, Gov. Josh Stein announced Jan. 28.
