FRANKLIN, Ind. — An Alabama man who previously called Johnson County home was convicted Thursday for child sex crimes. Mark LaPlante, 51, of Grant, Alabama, was convicted by a Johnson County jury on Jan. 16 for two felony counts of child molestation.
