Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will serve another term on the bipartisan council of governors tasked with enhancing collaboration with the federal government.

President Donald Trump late Wednesday appointed Maryland Gov. Wes Moore to the Council of Governors, a bipartisan group of U.S. leaders.

“Today, President Donald J. Trump announced new appointments to the Council of Governors, a bipartisan group of state leaders tasked with strengthening state-federal partnerships on key national security, disaster response, and military coordination issues,” read the announcement.
