Three days after earning the No. 18 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, the Terps wasted a 17-point lead in the first half and watched helplessly as Bruce Thornton and host Ohio State rallied for a 73-70 win Thursday night before an announced 10,155 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Wisconsin arguably lost Wednesday's game on the margins. Maryland shot a tick better from the floor (40% vs. 37.3%) and much better from three (50% vs. 33.3%). But the close score accurately depicts a game that hung in the balance until the final minutes. The Badgers lost due to two key areas: turnovers and free-throw shooting.

Maryland blew out Ohio State in December, but Micah Parrish said he used that for motivation in Thursday night's rematch.
