Biff Poggi is back with the Michigan football program. The university announced Monday that the 65-year-old has been hired as associate head coach under Sherrone Moore. Poggi held same position under Jim Harbaugh in 2021 and 2022, helping turn around the program after the Wolverines finished 2-4 in 2020.

While it's been a foregone conclusion, the belief is that Michigan will soon announce the hiring of the former Wolverines coach.

Upon his dismissal, he came to Ann Arbor for the home finale against Northwestern. And there were reports he would return to Michigan football full time, but only on Monday did it officially become a reality, with the Wolverines announcing his hire.

The Michigan football team recently added former Charlotte head coach Biff Poggi to the 2025 coaching staff, and the Wolverines are expected to formally introduce him as the new associate head coach.
