The Tulsa Zoo’s newest resident has a name: Jasiri. The female giraffe calf, whose name means “courageous” in Swahili, was officially introduced to the public this week. Pronounced Jah-see-ree, the name reflects the young giraffe’s bold and curious nature.
TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Zoo is closing early on Monday at 2 p.m. due to the severe weather threat. The last admission will be at 1 p.m. and the zoo will close at 2 p.m.
