Drake Maye will have a new position coach in 2025. The Patriots are hiring Ashton Grant as their new quarterbacks coach, a source confirmed to MassLive. Grant comes to New England after five seasons with the Cleveland Browns where he coached quarterbacks.

With Mike Vrabel having spent a season with the Cleveland Browns, there was always going to be a risk he would poach an assistant or two at his next head coaching job.

FOXBORO -- The New England Patriots have reportedly hired Ashton Grant to be Drake Maye's new quarterbacks coach. Grant worked with new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel last season with on the Cleveland Browns staff, and is now joining him in New England.

The 28-year-old Grant will work alongside offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to help facilitate the ongoing development of 2024 first-round pick Drake Maye.
