Held at the Lansdale SEPTA Train Station, local officials Wednesday called on state lawmakers to pass critical funding for public transit to prevent drastic cutbacks to services and increased fares.
Lt. Gov. Austin Davis was joined by other state leaders Tuesday morning to emphasize the need for immediate investment in the future of the state's mass transit system.
“The North Penn region, and towns across the state, are adopting a resolution supporting funding for SEPTA,” said Upper Gwynedd commissioner Denise Hull.
