President Donald Trump is renewing his old attacks on the Federal Reserve and its chair, Jerome Powell, after the independent body voted to hold interest rates steady in its first rate decision of the year.

Trump, who appointed Jerome Powell as Fed chair, has called for lower interest rates and said the president should get a say on the Fed's rate decisions.

Trump blamed the Federal Reserve for the "worst Inflation in the History of our Country" accusing the central bank of prioritizing DEI & climate over economics.

The Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged Wednesday as it began a new wait-and-see policy stance amid a cloudy economic outlook and uncertainty over whether some of President Donald Trump’s policies could stymie the fight against inflation.
