Now that the franchise is entering a new era, there’s no better time to look at its most recent era. Specifically, Daniel Craig’s. Not all of his films were great, but if there were never to be another actor playing Bond, it’s undoubted the character would have gone out with a very successful bang.

Michael Fassbender blew any chance he might have had of playing 007 when he recommended another actor for the iconic role – Daniel Craig.

After being asked by host Josh Horowitz if there was “ever a real Bond conversation” involving Fassbender, the X-Men actor responded, “I met with Barbara Broccoli just, you know, through passing and I actually went in for an audition phase before Daniel [Craig] was cast, but I don’t think I was ever in the mix.”
