According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from a fight between the suspect, 42-year-old Jason Covington, and the victim, 19-year-old Landon Phillips, which began around 7 p.m. Monday.

The judge set Covington’s bond at a little more than $330,000. Court documents show the victim, Landon Phillips, and two other people were in an argument when Covington walked out with a shotgun.
