Corbin Carroll and Josh Naylor homered and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Diego Padres 5-1 on Friday night to extend their winning streak to four games.

In the three Dodgers games, the Padres offense scored 21 runs with both teams teeing off on the pitchers the first game, the Padres teeing off on the Dodgers when they had a minor league pitcher and a position player pitching, and scoring two runs the last game when the Dodgers went back to trying.

The Padres are 38-29 and third in the NL West, two games back of the division-leading Los Angeles Dodgers and one game behind the San Francisco Giants. They just lost two of three agains the Dodgers at home, including dropping the series opener, 8-7, in extra innings.
