Shohei Ohtani extended his hitting streak to nine games with a two-run double in the fifth inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Cincinnati Reds 5-2.

Dodgers starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto silenced Cincinnati's bats, allowing a lone run on four hits, and Shohei Ohtani provided the eventual game-winning, two-run double as Los Angeles won, 5-2, at Great American Ball Park on Monday, July 28.

When the Reds and Angels met in Anaheim in August 2023, Elly De La Cruz poked Shohei Ohtani, as if to see if he was real.
