When Apple released the Apple Watch 10, it was a mild disappointment for many, since it was essentially the same design as earlier versions but with upgraded internals. And no, you haven't missed a volley of updates since iOS 18 in 2024. Apple has skipped a bunch of numbers, so instead of giving us iOS 19 in 2025, we got iOS 26 alongside iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26 and tvOS 26. In short, Apple's brought its operating system numbering into line. Nice.

These are not likely the final adjustments, given that iOS 26 doesn't launch publicly until the fall. However, they are indications that Apple is actively listening to early user feedback and making tweaks accordingly.
While the Apple iPhone 17 line has not been officially announced, previous release patterns suggest a possible launch event in September 2025. Industry insiders believe that the iPhone 17 will come with a price tag of $799, with the iPhone 17 Pro coming in at $999, but official pricing information hasn’t been announced at the time of this writing.
